- The goal in life coaching is to help release people's potential: e.g. helping you articulate goals and identify obstacles, overcoming self-limiting thoughts, bridging the gap between your present moment and the future you envision. Depending on your objectives and commitment, this engagement can be span over less than a year through c. 10 sessions, or be called upon during moments of particular challenge, stasis, or transition.
- The goal in humanistic psychotherapy is to explore more deeply rooted existential issues so you can feel alive again and not just in the therapy room. The commitment is greater than in coaching as we do not necessarily know "where we are going together" to open up to other possibilities. It is also more flexible within a broader scope than coaching and you can stop at any time. A therapy usually spans over 2 to 3 years.
